Scoped from what the site actually has to do. A three-page brochure and a booking flow with a CMS behind it are not the same project, and I will not quote them as if they were.

Most of my work is larger than this. I keep building small sites anyway, because a good one is a genuinely useful object and because it is often how a longer relationship starts.
What I will not do is build one badly and cheaply. If a page builder and a template would genuinely serve you better, I will say so. That is a real answer, and it costs you nothing.
The two failure modes are a template fought into a shape it resists, and a one-off build nobody can edit afterwards.
The first costs you performance and a year of small frustrations. The second costs you a developer every time a price changes. Both are avoidable, and avoiding them is most of the work.
