A jewellery atelier, translated into a custom Shopify shop
A custom Shopify shop for handmade jewellery from Berlin and Paris. Editorial photography, collections and product details give the pieces room, from the first impression to the purchase.
Overview
The situation
René Talmon L’Armée makes jewellery by hand in Berlin and Paris. Materials, texture and the character of each piece are central to the work.
The shop needed to communicate that character while making collections and individual pieces easy to explore and buy.
Giving the work room
Large photographs set the pace. The homepage introduces the materials and the maker, then leads into bracelets, necklaces, rings and earrings. Collection and product pages carry that visual language through to the buying decision.
The layout adapts to desktop and mobile, with the same attention to imagery and the details of the jewellery.
What I built
A custom Shopify theme, from the editorial homepage to the collection views and product details. Shopify handles the commerce foundations while the storefront follows the atelier’s own visual identity.
The engagement also covered search visibility, structured data and advice on the workflows behind photographing, describing and publishing the pieces.
Released
The new shop is live at renetalmonlarmee.com. The screenshots below show the released homepage, collection and product views, including the mobile experience.

Selling something that does not fit a standard grid? That question is best settled before a theme is bought.
